I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 1996. While I absolutely love it, in 2009 I decided to challenge myself, pull myself out of my comfort zone, and go back to school and pursue ultrasound. The seed of ultrasound was planted nearly 10 years ago when my practice owner/boss purchased a machine and wanted me to do the scans! I was able to gain priceless experience in abdominal and cardiac scanning on everything from dogs to ferrets. Not having had any exposure to vessels, that is precisely why I chose vascular as a course of study in ultrasound school. I feel it has given me a much deeper understanding of the physics of ultrasound over general or cardiac. Vascular ultrasound and veterinary medicine continue to fascinate and challenge me, that is why I continue to do both! As the sole proprietor of Pennsylvania Mobile Veterinary Ultrasound Services, I enjoy networking with other sonographers and sharing my passion and ultrasound skills with veterinary hospitals throughout Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania.
